Our address is 401 Richmond Street West in Suite LL01. We are located the eastern entrance of the building, just off of Peter Street.

Located at 401 Richmond Street West, there are plenty of ways to travel to us.

Museum of Toronto is housed within the historic 401 Richmond building in its Lower Level on the easternmost end of the building. 

Directions from the TTC

Our space in the 401 Richmond Centre is in the far east corner, nearest to the intersection of Richmond and Peter, across from the Spacing Store and Swipe Design.

If you’re coming by TTC, you can take the 510 Spadina streetcar , 501 Queen streetcar, or 504 King streetcar

We do not offer visitor or free parking at any time. There are a number of parking lots in the immediate area.

We are located at 401 Richmond Street West, just east of Spadina Avenue.

401 Richmond Street West is a restored, heritage-designated, industrial building turned arts-and-culture hub in downtown Toronto. It is home to over 140 artists, cultural producers, social innovators, micro-enterprises, galleries, festivals, and shops.

Where can I attend Museum of Toronto events?

Our programming is year-round and throughout the GTA, in the community, online, and in the Museum of Toronto space at 401 Richmond.

Admission is free at our exhibition spaces, and donations are encouraged. As a charitable organization, we do rely on the generosity of visitors and encourage you to give, if you’re able.

Museum of Toronto at 401 Richmond is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 12-6pm.

Museum of Toronto space is accessible to wheelchairs, mobility aids and devices, and strollers.

Support persons and service animals are more than welcome to accompany visitors in our space. We strive to offer accessible programs online and outside of our space as well.

Volunteering: Whether you’re a newcomer, student, or simply looking to support storytelling in your city, volunteering at Museum of Toronto is a great way to get hands-on experience in Toronto arts and culture.
